To Benefit Doctors Without Borders
THIS SATURDAY NOVEMBER 9TH 2013 FROM 9AM EST – 9PM EST
Here’s the lineup we have, which may be subject to change but we got confirmation for the following, starting 9 AM Eastern Time. Just set your world clock
to New York City Time… Hope to have you guys join us:
Take Us To Vegas - Australian band, they are a pretty cool bunch of guys who were on last year (well i think it was like one or two of them) and have a new EP out on iTunes. Check out ”Bloodwolves”
and I think will be on the Warped Tour schedule down under.
Mat Hammer - aka Maniac from this very page will have a set of covers and what not.
11:00 AM EST
Matt Riggle, director of FILMAGE
will be checking in via Skype to discuss the documentary about the Descendents, getting rave reviews across the country and now being viewed in select cities across the world
12:00 – 1:00 PM EST
We’ll be hanging out with you guys, checking the skype and chat room, having a few BR Related Contests. Epitaph has been kind enough to be giving us a few copies of Christmas Songs as prizes so be sure to tune in to see how you can win one!
Tony Reflex/Montana/Cadena from The Adolescents will be chiming in. There are the obvious early ties with BR, and hopefully will get to talk about some memories about their first shows together. Check out Presumed Insolent
, their latest album which came out in August on Concrete Jungle records. Definitely a solid effort.
Calling in next is none other than Jack Rabid of The Big Takeover
Magazine. BTO Magazine is one of the best music magazines that has been around since 1980, released in bi-annual issues (June/December). Jack has a great take on music and has reviewed albums and interviewed bands for his magazine, as well as Spin, AllMusicGuide, eMusic, etc etc. He has reviewed every Bad Religion Album as it was released, and even was one of the early Into the Unknown positive reviewers! haha. Looking forward to having him on. He was supposed to be on last year but the Hurricane happened and we couldn’t re-connect.
Dave and MIghty
are back and not sure if we should be scared or relieved. We’ll talk to the Boys from Bielefeld Germany. They have kindly recorded an entire synth set for us to play. More cat-keyboard music i hope.
and Robert Keysers - From Long Beach CA. Eddie on Guitar and Robert on Fiddle. You can find some of his Bad Religion Covers on YouTube with a simple search. Saw the cover of Generator and thought we should have them on for a set.
- CMCA Photography. Thanks to Clair from Ireland who is a regular on the BRPage and can be found staring dreamily into Billy Joe Armstrong’s boyish eyes. A freelance photographer who has snapshot many of the bands we all love, (including BR) she donated a dozen or so Pictures she took while they were on tour in Europe. These are professional, right-up-against-the-barricade pro-shots that would look great on your wall or would be a great addition to your BR collection (Hurry before MONO buys them up!). We’ll be auctioning them off, or finding a clever way to give these photos away.
Generator Tribute Band
- from San Diego. These guys do a really good job replicating the BR sound. Check out their facebook page and if you like them and are from the So-Cal area, check out one of their shows!
The Artist formerly known as Graffinius
, Michael Long has left Bad Religion Day behind on to greener pastures, joining the likes of Penn Jillette’s Sunday School Podcast and may be featured as an guest musical artist on Penn’s movie “Director’s Cut”. But we are lucky to get to have him on at least one more time. Who knows, he might break out the guitar, or the Hop-Laden beer, or both. One thing’s for sure, my hands are tired from typing all this!
Also don’t forget, on top of the photos and copies of Christmas songs, we’ll have the Bad Religion Acoustic Tribute to Suffer mercifully done by Friday to be available Saturday for all to enjoy. The BRPage’s gift to all BR Fans…..
If you want to join us via Skype and play a tune, or hang out with us, tune in Saturday at 9AM EST. Or drop me a line here on the BRPage and get in touch with me. And as always the chat room will be open for you to troll.
Looking forward to another good time celebrating yet another year of Bad Religion. Tidings of comfort and something or other…
-Fred (frod79) & Tom (torbar)
